This is what one side of my 4-sided tower of color is going to look like. I am cutting up the old, weathered fence from our backyard into 3 1/2 inch squares. It will be an 8 foot tall by 3 foot wide feast for the eyes. It's going to take 1232 pieces which I will adhere to a plywood base parquet style. I'll leave some pieces as is with their wonderful grey aged wood patina and some with their beautiful green mossiness. Others I will stain. I just ordered up 18 different stain colors today. It's a way to recycle something that would be otherwise headed for the dump. I love taking something considered to be garbage and turning it into something beautiful to look at.
